Throw food to a stray cat or wild animal and it will show up the next day expecting more. Keep doing it for long periods of time and that animal will completely abandon its instinctual lifestyle and will setup its bed and dinner table permanently on your doorstep. I hate to give that analogy when describing the toxic conditions that throwing money at people who are in need creates, but that’s exactly what happens. While seeming to be innocent acts of kindness, by tossing that dollar in their cup, the reality is, whether individually, through an organization or governments, handouts are not help and does more harm than good, and here’s why.
I consider myself a liberal but I’m fully aware that liberalism has its limits. We can’t live in an society where anything goes and then expect there not to be some negative repercussions for it. You cannot be a gay male and not willingly accept that you’re to bat high risk for HIV infection.
