Tonight Was A Good Night

I attended Zoe Keating’s concert at Le Poisson Rouge, stood in line to scan my e-ticket, and enjoyed a sandwich and tequila while seated mid-venue. Keating played a mix of old and new songs, joking with the audience. Post-show, I recognized and conversed with journalist Amy Goodman, discussing her work and my discovery of Democracy Now!. It was a memorable evening meeting both Keating and Goodman.

I was only in the store 10 minutes. Came back out and the building next door had a tower of black smoke raging out the roof. FDNY arrived in less than 5 minutes. I swear today was wild. Never a dull moment in this city.
