Precisely why I’m migrating my account off Bluesky. It didn’t take long for it to start bending the knee to censorship. And this was just over something petty. If they bent over just for this, what else will they bend over on in the future.

This is a main point that #Bluesky users should be taking into consideration. When Twitter was falling apart back in 2022 lots of users stayed long after things started getting bad simply because whatever bad was happening wasn't happening to them specifically. The trend was clear, but people hung on. They felt they had too much invested. It's happening now again. If this issue is going to trigger such a moderation meltdown, just imagine what happens when the chips are really down.
