Write about your dream home.
I don’t have a dream home because it’s so far out of reach. A home here in New York costs upwards of $1.5 million, and down payments are like $300k. Yes, I could move to another state, but I like it here and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
A home shouldn’t be a dream, but a right and should be way easier to obtain and maintain than it currently is. The way the gatekeepers keep people, especially Black people out of home-ownership, is a crime.
