Watched a geologist talk about the #Nepal flood. He said it wasn’t a flood. There was water, but the glacier fell tens of thousands of feet, generating enough heat to melt the glacier, and liquify rocks and other debris in its path, turning it into a dense sludge that was more comparable to concrete than water. The correct term is “debris flow”. I don’t think there’s going to be any bodies to find at that border-crossing. If they weren’t crushed on impact, I think they would’ve just disintegrated like that submarine crew. Turned into chum

Taking pics with your phone is convenient but you still need to get them off your phone and put them in a physical photo album. What good are all those memories to those who come after you, if the pictures die when you do.
