Today’s weather was a disappointing drop to the 40s after a warm week. The highlight was a visit to a Mexican restaurant where a ground beef burrito was enjoyed, though only an image of the empty plate remains to document the meal.

I attended Zoe Keating’s concert at Le Poisson Rouge, stood in line to scan my e-ticket, and enjoyed a sandwich and tequila while seated mid-venue. Keating played a mix of old and new songs, joking with the audience. Post-show, I recognized and conversed with journalist Amy Goodman, discussing her work and my discovery of Democracy Now!. It was a memorable evening meeting both Keating and Goodman.
